Hubungan Kepatuhan Terapi Antiretroviral dengan Kualitas Hidup Orang dengan HIV/AIDS: Literature Review

Infeksi Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan global dengan dampak besar terhadap kualitas hidup orang dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA). Hingga saat ini belum tersedia terapi yang dapat menyembuhkan HIV secara definitif, namun terapi antiretroviral (ARV) terbukti efektif dalam menekan replikasi virus, menurunkan angka morbiditas dan mortalitas, serta memperpanjang harapan hidup. Kepatuhan terhadap terapi ARV merupakan faktor kunci keberhasilan pengobatan dan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hidup ODHA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kepatuhan terapi antiretroviral dengan kualitas hidup ODHA melalui metode literatur review. Penelusuran artikel dilakukan pada basis data EBSCOhost, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, dan ClinicalKey dengan kata kunci HIV/AIDS, ARV adherence, dan quality of life. Kriteria inklusi meliputi artikel berbahasa Inggris, dapat diakses full text, diterbitkan pada tahun 2020–2025, serta membahas kepatuhan ARV dan kualitas hidup pasien HIV/AIDS. Dari total ribuan artikel yang ditemukan, lima artikel yang relevan dianalisis secara mendalam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepatuhan ARV yang optimal berhubungan erat dengan peningkatan kualitas hidup ODHA, baik dari aspek fisik, psikologis, sosial, maupun fungsi sehari-hari. Kepatuhan yang baik juga berkontribusi terhadap supresi viral load dan penurunan infeksi oportunistik. Sebaliknya, ketidakpatuhan dikaitkan dengan kualitas hidup yang lebih rendah dan hasil klinis yang buruk. Kesimpulannya, peningkatan kepatuhan terapi ARV merupakan faktor penting dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup ODHA dan perlu menjadi fokus utama dalam pelayanan kesehatan HIV/AIDS.
