APLIKASI YOGA KEPADA PASIEN HIV/AIDS YANG MENGALAMI INSOMNIA : LITERATURE REVIEW

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) adalah infeksi yang menyerang dan melemahkan sistem kekebalan tubuh, terdapat kurang lebih 39.900.000 orang yang hidup dengan HIV di tahun 2024. Yang baru terinfeksi ditahun 2021 berjumlah 1.500.000 orang, dan jumlah yang meninggal karena HIV di tahun 2021 berjumlah 650.000 orang. Penderita HIV Indonesia berjumlah 50.282 sampai di tahun 2019, Besarnya angka ODHA yang mengalami insomnia tetapi hanya sekitar 11,19% yang mengkonsumsi obat tidur (Huang et al., 2017, Latif et al., 2014, Jean-Louis et al., 2012, & CDC, 2022). gangguan tidur dapat memperburuk komplikasi umum terkait HIV seperti gangguan kognitif, neuropati perifer yang menyakitkan, dan kelelahan kronis. Yoga dapat membantu dalam pengelolaan insomnia dan gangguan terkait tidur lainnya bersamaan dengan farmakoterapi dan intervensi psikologis.
