Author Guidelines for Midwife Care Journal (MICARE)

1. Submission of Manuscripts

  • Submission Process: Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions via email or physical copies will not be accepted.
  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English or Indonesian. Authors are encouraged to have their work proofread by native speakers before submission if necessary.
  • Originality: Submissions must be original work, not under consideration by other publications, and must not have been previously published.

2. Manuscript Preparation

  • General Structure:

    • Title Page: Include a concise and informative title, names of all authors, their affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author.
    • Abstract: Provide an abstract of 150-250 words summarizing the purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications of the research.
    • Keywords: Include 4-6 relevant keywords for indexing and search purposes.
    • Main Text:
      • Introduction: State the purpose and significance of the research.
      • Literature Review: Summarize relevant existing research and identify the gaps your study addresses.
      • Methodology: Describe the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques.
      • Results: Present the main findings clearly, using appropriate tables and figures.
      • Discussion: Interpret the results and discuss their implications.
      • Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and suggest avenues for future research.
    • Acknowledgments: Optionally, acknowledge individuals or organizations that supported the research.
    • References: Include only those references cited in the text.
  • Formatting Requirements:

    • Font: Use Times New Roman, size 12.
    • Spacing: Double-spaced with 1-inch margins on all sides.
    • Length: Manuscripts should generally be between 5,000 and 7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
    • Tables and Figures: Number tables and figures consecutively and refer to them in the text. Provide clear captions and ensure high quality and clarity.

3. Citation and Reference Style

  • The Midwife Care Journal (MICARE) follows the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition reference style. All sources cited in the text should be listed in the reference section, and all listed references should be cited in the text.

    • Single author: (Smith, 2020)
    • Two authors: (Johnson & Wang, 2019)

4. Ethical Considerations

  • Ethical Standards: Authors must adhere to the ethical standards described in the Publication Ethics of the journal. This includes ensuring originality, avoiding plagiarism, and disclosing potential conflicts of interest.

5. Peer Review Process

  • Review Process: Manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous during the review process. Authors should ensure that no identifying information is included in the manuscript to maintain anonymity.

6. Revisions

  • Revision Requests: If revisions are requested, authors are expected to submit the revised manuscript within the given timeframe. Include a detailed response letter explaining how each reviewer’s comments have been addressed.

7. Publication Fee

  • Fees: The Midwife Care Journal (MICARE) does not charge submission or publication fees. However, any costs related to language editing or proofreading are the responsibility of the author.

8. Copyright and Licensing

  • Copyright Agreement: Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer agreement. All published articles in MICARE are available under an open-access license (CC BY), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper credit to the original author and source.
